The story of VGS
One day in 2018, Connie wrote in her journal:
“What if someday we created a place in Italy where people could slow down, gather around the table, laugh, drink wine, and feel like family?”
At the time, it felt like a distant dream.
Years later, in 2024, Connie and Mauro traveled through Tuscany searching for something special — not just a property, but a feeling. Mauro’s best friend, Alessandro, spent days showing them homes tucked into the rolling hills of Chianti.
Then one afternoon, they turned down a quiet country road and saw a small five-bedroom villa surrounded by olive trees, vineyards, and golden Tuscan light.
Before they even stepped fully inside, Connie looked at Mauro and said,
“This is it.”
In that moment, they both knew.
It wasn’t the biggest villa.
It wasn’t the fanciest.
But it felt magical — like the beginning of a new chapter.
That very day, standing beneath the Tuscan sky, they decided to call it
Villa Gran Sogno —
“The House of Big Dreams.”
Together, they poured their hearts into every detail:
fresh flowers on the breakfast table,
long dinners under the stars,
homemade meals,
stories shared over wine,
and the warmth of feeling truly welcomed.
Today, guests travel from all over the world to experience the dream Connie and Mauro created together.
Some arrive as strangers.
Many leave as friends.
And every sunset over Villa Gran Sogno is a reminder that sometimes the biggest dreams begin with one simple moment: believing they are possible.
Driven by curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold thinking meets thoughtful execution. Let’s create something meaningful together.
Meet the Owners
Villa Gran Sogno is the realization of Mauro Golmarvi and Connie Blumenthal’s vision: a place where Tuscan tradition, sustainability, and heartfelt hospitality come together. Set among olive groves and vineyards, the villa reflects a commitment to preserving the beauty and authenticity of the region. From eco-conscious practices on the land to collaborations with local artisans, every detail supports the landscape and the community that surrounds it.
At its core, Villa Gran Sogno is about connection—between people, place, and culture. Mauro and Connie welcome guests not as visitors, but as friends, creating an atmosphere that feels personal and relaxed. Whether it's morning coffee overlooking the vines or sharing a glass of Chianti at dusk, each stay offers moments of warmth, conversation, and discovery. Rooted in tradition and guided by a thoughtful approach to modern hospitality, Villa Gran Sogno offers an experience that is distinctly Tuscan, and entirely unforgettable.
